The Jackson Parish School District is proud to announce that the recipients for the 2026 I.J. Allen Memorial Scholarship have been selected. 

The three-tiered level award in the amount of $13,000.00 is given each year by the Allen family and Jonesboro State Bank to deserving graduating seniors of the Jackson Parish schools in honor of Mr. I. J. Allen, who passed away in 1980 and was a former president of Jonesboro State Bank and an iconic member of the Jonesboro business community. 

Being selected for the $6,000.00 award is Evie Hasley of Quitman High School. Larsen Thomas, also of Quitman High School, was chosen to receive the $4,000.00 award, while Emily Taylor of Weston High School received the $3,000.00 award. 

The Jackson Parish School District congratulates all three recipients and sends its most sincere thanks to the Allen family for their continued support of our students.
