On April 8th, the Jonesboro Heritage Quilt Guild (HQG) presented Thelma Jackson with a “comfort quilt”. The gift, one of the HQG’s benevolent programs conducted during the year, was given to help ease the pain of Ms. Jackson losing her home to fire on January 25, 2026, caused by falling limbs during the ice storm.
The Heritage Quilt Guild meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at the Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church, located at 402 Cooper Avenue in Jonesboro.
The guild provides a means for quilters and guild lovers to promote the appreciation and preservation of quilts, and where the skills of the quilt makers are shared, so the art will be handed down to others.
