This past January, local residents endured a debilitating winter ice storm that knocked out power for days. Entergy crews from all over the nation quickly responded, which resulted in some being injured, including local resident Hunter Alexander, who was severely burned and is still undergoing rehabilitation. 

In an effort to show appreciation to those who put their own safety at risk to help restore electricity to the local community and surrounding area, Shawn Murphy State Farm Agency in Jonesboro hosted a Lineman Appreciation Day on Tuesday, April 14th, where a BBQ lunch was served for the Linemen. 

“We just wanted to show them how much we appreciate their commitment and dedication, and this was our way of saying Thank You for what they do and have done for us,” said Shawn.
