Ajay Tew has committed to play basketball for William Cary University. The 2023 Jonesboro-Hodge High School graduate is transferring from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he has been a member of the Warhawk basketball team for the past three years. 

The son of Allen and Robin Tew will be eligible to play immediately upon transfer to William Cary University, located in Hattiesburg, MS, which is a NAIA program and a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference. 

First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving me the strength each and every day to never give up on my dream. All the early mornings and late nights, all the workouts and lifts, not knowing if they would ever pay off. They were not for NOTHING!

Secondly, I want to thank my family, teammates, and coaches who gave me the confidence each and every day to keep working as hard as I could. The last three years at ULM have been everything I could have ever asked for. Not having any offers coming out of high school and getting the opportunity to walk on at ULM changed my life. It was truly a blessing, and I made memories that I will never forget!

Lastly, I want to thank @coachp_wcu for believing in me and seeing in me what no one else did. I am blessed with this opportunity and cannot wait to get to work with William Carey University and my new family!
