Mayor James “Spike” Harris announces that the road work on Gimber and Hickory Streets in Jonesboro is now scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8th, WEATHER PERMITTING! Originally, this work was scheduled to begin on Friday, June 5th, but due to inclement weather, the project start date was pushed back. 

During this time, residents may experience temporary traffic delays, limited access in certain areas, and increased construction activities as crews work to improve roadway conditions and continue infrastructure upgrades throughout the community. 

These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety, appearance, and overall infrastructure of the Town of Jonesboro,” said Harris. “We sincerely thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding during this process.”
