Quitman High School
2026 Class A State Champions

Sports Illustrated has released its final top 25 Louisiana High School State Softball Rankings for 2026, with three-time Class B state champion Quitman High School earning a #13 position, the highest among “small schools,” or those from Classes A, B, and C.

The ranking was an improvement of 11 spots from the #24 position held before the state tournament, where the Lady Wolverines beat Anacoco to win the Class B state tournament, giving Quitman a “three-peat” of state championships (2024, 25, 26). QHS ended the year with a 25-9 record, which included six games against teams that finished in the final top 25 SI rankings.

Calvary Baptist of Shreveport was named the top-ranked softball team in the state after finishing the season with a 37-1 record and winning the Division III championship among “select” schools for its incredible 6th state title in a row. Pineville(29-9) finished in 2nd place after winning the Division I “select” school state championship, with Vandebilt Catholic (29-3) coming in 3rd following their third straight Division II “select” school state title.
