Special Call Meeting of Jonesboro Board of Aldermen held on Tuesday

The Board of Aldermen for the Town of Jonesboro held a Special Call Meeting on Tuesday, June 16th. The session was called for the panel of Robbie Siadek, Devin Flowers, Robert Hunter, Nia Evans Watkins, and Tracy Ginn to adopt two Ordinances and a Resolution, and to discuss an Economic Development proposal from Lakawinder Sing and Vasu Walia.

The Ordinances approved were:
Ordinance #2025-004A – Amend Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the General
Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026.

Ordinance# 202G017 – Adopt Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the General
Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.

The Resolution approved involved authorizing the Submission of an Application by the Town of Jonesboro for a Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF) Project Grant from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) for Industrial Drive and Gansville Road.

Prior to the adjournment of the meeting, reports from the heads of Police, Compliance, Public Works, and Fire Departments were approved, followed by comments from the Aldermen and Jonesboro Mayor J. “Spike” Harris.
