The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Louisiana announces that after searches led to the seizure of more than 22 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately $55,000 in cash from locations in Ruston and Sulphur, LA, fourteen people have been sentenced for their involvement, including Ladavid Hunter of Jonesboro, who received 262 months for his participation.

According to court documents, in February 2024, federal authorities began investigating 41-year-old Shedrick Green III and 45-year-old Cornelius Boston for distributing methamphetamine in and around Ruston. Officials say the investigation revealed that the men obtained their supply of methamphetamine from two sources: 55-year-old Ferrano Barnes of Lodi, California, and 40-year-old Felipe Penaloza Gomez of Mexico. The following were then determined to be a part of the distribution organization and pleaded guilty.
