Hurricane season has already made its presence felt in the state of Louisiana, with the first tropical depression of the year depositing a state-record amount of rainfall, inundating many parishes with flooding, and leaving a wide path of destruction.
In an effort to help seniors in Jackson Parish prepare for the possibility of severe inclement weather, Jackson Parish Sheriff Brent Barnett and Jackson Parish Emergency Preparedness Director Bentley Williams addressed participants of the daily lunch program sponsored by the Jackson Council on Aging at the Robert Riddle Senior Center in Jonesboro.
“We appreciate Sheriff Barnett and Director Williams for their very informative presentation and also for the generous door prizes that they presented.” – Jackson Council on Aging
