Jackson Parish Library Board to Meet on Monday, July 20th

The Jackson Parish Library Board of Control will hold its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on Monday, July 20th. The session will take place at 4:30 pm in the McBride Room of the Main Branch, located at 614 South Polk Avenue in Jonesboro.

Board President Carol Massey and members Paula Essmeier, Vicki Jenkins, Judy Cooper, Robin Tew, Lisa Nunn, Ann Standley, and Jackson Parish Police Jury Ex-Officio Lewis Chatham will discuss and possibly act on the following stated agenda items.

Approval of Minutes
1 Review and adopt the minutes from the April 20 board meeting.

Report of Director: Statistical and Financial
2 Review and adopt the 2nd quarter financial reports.
3 Review and adopt the 2nd quarter statistical reports.

New Business
4 Discuss and act on updates to the emergency door project at Jonesboro branch.
5 Discuss and act on window replacement at the Jonesboro branch.
6 Review and adopt Capital Planning Workbook.
7 Staffing discussions
 Discuss and act on the process of moving the IT Coordinator to part-time.
 Discuss and act on hiring Bookmobile/Outreach Specialist.
 Review and adopt proposed 2026 pay schedule.
8 Review and adopt the amended 2026 library budget proposal.
