When the past football season was completed, it was believed that it ended the playing career of Dakota Knox, the versatile “Swiss Army knife” who played several positions, including quarterback, defensive back, and punter, and led Jonesboro-Hodge into the quarterfinals of the Class A playoffs. Feeding the belief was Knox himself, who said that even though he had received offers from several schools, he would be attending Louisiana Tech University as a student only.

That has now changed.

As time went by, the competitive fire in the outstanding leader, who was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player in District 1-1A, continued to burn, leading to his recent commitment to continue his athletic career with Beloit College in Wisconsin.
