The Jackson Parish Museum and Fine Arts Association announces that Blair Fitzpatrick has accepted the position of President of the board, which meets regularly to review, discuss, and take action to help preserve the rich history of Jackson Parish and to make the museum available to any and all interested parties.

The Jackson Parish Museum & Fine Arts Association was created by the Police Jury in April of 2007 with the purpose of being a historical, cultural, and educational entity with the primary purpose of encouraging research, collecting, preserving and presenting, as an educational resource, objects of art, documents, artifacts, and the like that reflect the history, art, and culture of the Parish and the surrounding area.

Located at 515 South Cooper Avenue in Jonesboro, the Jackson Parish Museum, which features a wide range of entertaining, educational, and historic artifacts, is open from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and Monday through Friday by appointment.
