The wait is over. While some have already announced their intentions, months of speculation about who all would run for the local and area positions on the November 3rd ballot will finally be confirmed as candidates officially declare their intentions on Wednesday, August 5th, as qualifying for office begins.

The plethora of positions up for grabs includes District Judge, District Attorney, Jackson Parish School Board Member for District 1-7, Justice of the Peace and Constable in Districts A-E, and Mayor, Chief of Police and Aldermen in Jonesboro, Hodge, North Hodge, East Hodge, and Mayor and Aldermen of Quitman.
