Marvin Cavett

Marvin Cavett, 82, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 24, 1944, in Hodge, Louisiana, Marvin lived a life rooted in family, hard work, humor, and a love for the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Cavett; his daughters, Lisa Landry and Jennifer Cavett; his grandchildren, Ryan Alleman, Hayden Landry, and Lailah Cavett; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Bentley Alleman and Acesen Alleman, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by one brother, Marion (Ken) Cavett, and two sisters, Audie Sandifer and Johnette Fulk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Blanche Cavett, and three brothers, Jerry Cavett, DeLee Cavett, and Ronnie Cavett.

Family, friends, and well-wishers will gather in the Fellowship Hall of Quitman Baptist Church in Quitman, LA, for a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 15th.
