The Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (LPASD), in partnership with Living Well Foundation, announces the launch of a Street Outreach and Resource Navigation Program. The tremendous community service effort dedicated to building a healthier, safer, and stronger Jackson Parish is part of the JPASD CARE360 endeavor that began on June 9, 2026.
Community members experiencing housing insecurity face challenges that go far beyond having a place to sleep. Many also struggle to access hygiene items, healthcare, transportation, identification documents, mental health services, food assistance, veterans’ resources, employment opportunities, and other essential community supports.
Offering meaningful support and opportunities to everyone in Jackson Parish, the new addition to JPASD CARE360 joins the Autism & Awareness Program, Street Survival & Homelessness Program, Maternal and Infant Program, Senior Fall Prevention Program, and Youth Outreach Safe at Home & Safe Sitter Program that have already been implemented.

Established by the Jackson Parish Police Jury on May 4, 1998, the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (JPASD), located at 115 Watts Street in Jonesboro, LA, is the primary 911 emergency medical and ambulance service provider for the residents and visitors of Jackson Parish, Louisiana. JPASD also operates an on-site education and training facility that offers certified courses, including Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Advanced EMT (AEMT).
About Living Well Foundation
The Living Well Foundation is a nonprofit public charity established in 2006. Its goals are to enhance the quality of life and health of citizens in northeast Louisiana and to support collaborative and innovative networking within the region through projects that aim to improve the medical, dental, and behavioral health of the population, especially kids. Specific initiatives include dental hygiene clinics, suicide prevention/intervention, dementia and Alzheimer ‘s-related cognitive deficits, and school-based health centers with local school boards and medical providers, including federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and others.
