Each week during the school year, Jackson Parish Hospital recognizes select student-athletes from the Jackson Parish School District high schools and presents them with the Student/Athlete of the Week Award. The recipients are chosen by select faculty from each of the representative institutions of learning: Jonesboro-Hodge High School, Quitman High School, and Weston High School.

Selection Criteria: Chosen by select faculty and staff members at each institution for providing the best example of balancing academic achievement and athletic accomplishment.

Recognition: Weekly recipients are featured in the Jackson Parish Journal and on social media. They also receive a commemorative T-shirt from Jackson Parish Hospital.
