The Jackson Parish Police Jury held a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Nathaniel Zeno Jr. meeting room of the Jackson Parish Administration Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive, Jonesboro, Louisiana.

Members present were Amy Magee, Regina Rowe, Sheketia Combs, President Todd Culpepper, and Lewis Chatham. Absent were Tarneshala Cowans and Keith Burris. Nia Evans Watkins, Secretary-Treasurer, also attended.

After the session was called to order, the JPPJ approved, by roll call vote, the 2025 tax assessment as presented by Tax Assessor Glen Kirkland.

Following, police jury members approved, allowing Mr. Wayne Anderson and Mr. Ed
Howard to attend the LSWA Conference to be held October 27-28, 2026, in Lafayette, LA.

Before adjournment, the Council agreed to hold a public hearing on the amended subdivision ordinance at 5:15 on October 13, 2026, in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr., Meeting Room of the Jackson Parish Administration Building.
