
The Jonesboro Study Guild reconvened for their monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of September with JoAnn Teat, Eileen Modisette, Jolene Carson, Kathy Allen, Stacy Albritton, Rosemary Ewing, Glo Weaver, Christie Weeks, Dawn Keys, Lisa McConathy, Marilyn Walker, and Wilda Smith in attendance.
President Jolene Carson called the meeting to order and thanked JoAnn Teat for hosting the meeting and Stacy Albritton for providing the program. Sue Martin was then introduced as the evening speaker who spoke to the group about Four Paws in Ruston. She shared information about the new kennels that recently opened for the animals and explained that volunteers are needed for several shifts, as well as opportunities to donate money.
Sue explained that Four Paws is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter dedicated to the well-being of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals of Lincoln Parish. She also shared that the organization works to place rescued animals in loving and caring homes.
