First Baptist Church in Chatham encourages you to lace up your sneakers to bring immense joy, love, and the message of hope to children all over the world this holiday season by participating in its 1st-ever Track Walkathon, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th, at the walking track between the Chatham Clinic and the Chatham Branch of the Jackson Parish Library. The goal is to raise $1,600 to completely fund and ship life-changing Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts.

FRIENDLY COMPETITION: Think you have the most endurance? A prize will be awarded to the walker who completes the most laps in each age category!

SEE WHAT’S INSIDE: An open shoebox gift will be on display right at the track! Stop by to see examples of gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. It’s a wonderful way to see exactly how your steps and donations change lives.

BRING A BUDDY: Even if you aren’t walking, come drop off a small, brand-new stuffed animal at the track! These will go directly into our packed shoeboxes as a special surprise item for a child.
