Chatham Mayor Gregory Harris announced that Chatham Town Hall, closed since October 6th for staff training, is now open again for business. Hours of operation will remain the same as before the closure, with the Town Hall open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday.
“We appreciate the understanding and patience of our residents,” said Harris. “While we understand it may have caused some difficulty, we feel this training will be a benefit for our citizens as we move forward.”
Fiber Optic Line Installation Nearing Completion
In an unrelated situation, Mayor Harris said he expects the fiber optic line installation throughout Chatham to be completed soon.
“We are excited to be nearing the completion of the fiber optic line project in our town,” said Harris. “The minor problems it has caused in getting around will be greatly offset by the advantages it will provide for our residents in the future.”
