JPRD basketball league has picture day

This past Saturday was one of those rare occasions for an athlete that it was important to not only play well but to look good too. That was because it was picture day for the youth who are competing in the Jackson Parish Recreation Department Basketball Leagues.

Pictures are a wonderful way to remember things. There is not a single person, who when looking at a photo of prior days, doesn’t immediately go back in their mind to that time and place where they were when the photo was taken. Everyone especially loves to see pictures of when they were young.
For an athlete, a picture can also be a great motivator, especially when that picture has been shown in a publication or some sort of media. Nothing like having someone come up to you and say that they saw your photo.

With that in mind the Jackson Parish Journal Sports Department is asking for your help in acknowledging the youth of the area who are competing in the JPRD basketball league by forwarding an action photo of the young person. You can either send photos by email to: jpjacksonla78@gmail.com or text them to 318-480-1206. Please include the name of the person in the photo and what team they play for. As a disclaimer some photos may not appear the week they are sent as space is limited but before the season is complete each one will be published.
