Floye Mae Bryant
April 15, 1927 – April 22, 2021

fbryantFloye Mae Bryant, age 94 of Jonesboro, passed away surrounded by her loving family Thursday, April 22, 2021. Her family was her whole heart. She would go to the moon and back for her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Patsy King (Jerry), Elaine Gerrin (Tommy), Kathy Mansfield, Francine Hart (Phil), Ray Jones (Brenda), Joanie Simon (Roy), Ronald Bryant (Nina); grandchildren, Jeremy King (Crystal), Brian King (Amy), Michael Diggs (Nicki), Christina Smith (Mark), Tonya Dupree (Lee), Warren Goff (Tammy), Emily Campbell, Shay Gilbert (Chase), Cameron Hart (Caetie), Tori Hart, Bridgette Jones (Brandon), Anna Brigman (Robbie), Joshua Norman (Brandi), Megan Geter, Breanne Bryant, Brandon Bryant; 22 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Wayne Bryant; parents, Walter Francis and Annie Lucille (Spitzer) Butler; siblings, Elgie Butler, Elvin Butler, Luther Butler, Donnie Butler, Johnny Butler .

Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in the Southern-Edmonds chapel with Reverend Yancy Martin officiating. Burial followed in McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thank special caregivers Flora Cockerham, Patricia Davis, Felecia Johnson and Shree Ellis for taking such good care of their mother. Their care meant the world to her. Serving the family as pallbearers were Jeff Brooks, David Westbrook, Wendell Bryant, Chuck Blalock, Greg Stephens, Will Treadway.

Nancy Ann Bryant
August 3, 1942 – April 30,2021

nbryantNancy Ann Bryant, age 78 of Jonesboro, LA, was called to her Heavenly home on April 30, 2021 following a lengthy illness. She was a loving mother and Nanny who adored her family. She was a teacher in the school system for forty years.

Nancy is survived by her son, Wendall Bryant and wife Melanie; daughter, Shelley Hill and husband Gary; grandchildren, Garrison Hill, Amalee Hill, Mallory Hall; great grandchild, Chloe Hall; sister, Janis Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Bryant, Jr.; son, Randall Bryant; parents, Emmett and Quinnie (Gaar) Lowrey; sisters, Faye Anderson, Karen Hall; brother, Billy Lowrey.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Stuart Toms officiating. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home. Serving the family as Pallbearers were Kevin Hall, Sonny Terrill, Ronald Bryant, Bill Pipes, Mark Daniel, Chad Hall.

Gloria Jean (Henderson) Hall
November 29, 1948 – April 28, 2021

hallMrs. Gloria Jean (Henderson) Hall was escorted into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 28, 2021 following a lengthy period of declining health. Jean was a kind and loving person who loved her late husband Keith and all of her family and friends. From a child she loved the out-doors, her pets, her dog “Eskimo” and when she was able she loved to work in her flower beds and help her late husband Keith work in the watermelon field at their Hall’s Farm acreage. They were known for growing some of the largest watermelons in the area. She and Keith had been selected Watermelon Queen and Melon Man at the annual Saline Watermelon Festival.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Myrtle Walsworth; brother-in-law, Jody Hall; sister-in-law, Gail Martin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Hardy & Lillian (Shackleford) Henderson; siblings, Virgil Henderson, Adren Henderson, Hazel (Henderson) Bates and Ruth (Henderson) Hall.

There will be a memorial service to honor Jean to be held at a later date

Avis Walsworth
July 2, 1940 – April 25, 2021

walsworthMrs. Avis Anderson Walsworth, age 81 of Quitman, was called to her Heavenly home April 25, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Avis was always full of joy and thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with her church family, friends and neighbors. She loved her family deeply and they were always at the top of her list. Mrs. Walsworth was a great cook and her home-made rolls were always looked forward to at home, church meetings and family gatherings. Her other great passion, besides her cooking, was playing the piano or keyboard. She loved to make music and when the children were younger she would have them lined up in church singing as she played the accompaniment.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Rev. David Walsworth; children, Sandra Walsworth, Mike Walsworth & Alayna, Regena Lynn Porter & Randy and Rev. David “Bubba” Walsworth & Amy; a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, James “Jim” Anderson & Gale and Alverne Cannady. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Elton & Lessie (Mall) Anderson; brothers, Joe Waymon Anderson and Robert Anderson.

A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 28th, under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Serving the family as pallbearers were Brandon Lamkin, Brian Lamkin, Michael Walsworth, Kerry Mullins, Shawn McMillan and Randy Porter.
