As a new day dawned on the 2021-22 school year, several local pastors joined the Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School (JHMS) faculty and support staff on Friday, August 13, who along with Jackson Parish School Superintendent, David Claxton, held a “Sunrise Prayer” for a safe and successful school year. Local clergy who took part was Reverend Hamm of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in East Hodge, Brother Jeff Stroud of Hodge United Pentecostal Church and Overseer McCardia of Kingdom First Church in Jonesboro.
“On behalf of myself and Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School, we thank our local leaders for coming out to pray over our students, families, faculty, support staff, and school board office,” said JHMS Principal Danielle Copeland. ‘We look forward to continuing strengthening the school-community relationship. ‘
