Peyton Smith of Jonesboro-Hodge High School has been named the Defensive Lineman of the Week by Off the Bench Sports. The social media website which has over 13,000 followers was founded in 2017 and is dedicated to showcasing high school talents from the State of Louisiana. Award winners are chosen from submitted game action videos of players.

Official stats of the season opening contest against Winnfield, which saw JHHS fall by a 22-20 score, the 6’4″, 252 lb. junior defensive end was credited with six solo tackles and four assists for ten total stops from his defensive end position.
