A raffle to help defray medical expenses for the Griffin family after their son Dawson was involved in a 4-wheeler accident is being held. To be given away is a Glock 19 revolver. The drawing will be held on November 6, 2021. Stipulations to receive the grand prize is that you must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.
“Dawson is doing great but we would like to help ease the burden for this wonderful family,” said Stacey Treadway in a Facebook post.

Side of beef being raffled by the Quitman Baseball Team
Where’s the beef? That is a question one lucky raffle winner won’t have to wonder about on October 29th when a drawing will be held to determine the winner of a half a processed steer. The raffle is being conducted by the Quitman High School baseball team in an effort to help defray expenses of the upcoming spring season.
The side of beef is from the Circle P Farm and will be custom cut to desired preference. The beef will be ready for pickup by the lucky winner in December. Cost of a raffle ticket is $5.00 each and can be purchased from Quitman High School baseball team members and coaching staff.
