Heritage Quilt Guild selected as “Artisit of the Month” at Jackson Parish Library

The Heritage Quilt Guild has been selected as Artist of the Month for October at the Jackson Parish Library. Three examples of their beautifully crafted work is currently on display at the Jonesboro Branch, located at 614 South Polk Avenue, including the 2021 donation quilt “Golden Beauty”.

Tickets for the opportunity to win this quilt are available at $1.00 or six tickets for $5.00. Funds received are used for supplies to make “Comfort Quilts” for families who have lost their home to fire and donation stocks for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

On November 4-5 the Heritage Quilt Guild will present the “Airing of the Quilts” at their Annual Quilt Show. “The session will go from 9:00am – 4:00pm where members of the Guild will demonstrate basic quilting basics such as:
Four and Nine Patch
Scrapp String Lattice
Playing with Dresden’s
