J-H Middle School plays final two games of basketball season

First, the Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School basketball teams tried their luck against a team from the north. Then they went after it against a team from about the same distance to the south. Maybe it would have been better to play a team from the east or west.

The actual results saw the JHMS girls and both 7th and 8th grade boys teams lose to Ruston and Winnfield respectively in their final contests of the season. The results though don’t overshadow the improvement of all three team as the season progressed under the tutelage of girls coach, Gromika Palmer and boys coach, Tracy Taylor.

The girls finished the season with a 6-8 record, while the 7th grade boys ended the year at 4-6. Each had battled to put themselves into position to have a winning record heading into the season enders. Even the 8th grade boys, who posted a 3-7 mark, had a chance to break even on the year with victories in both.
