Chatham Town Council introduces first Resolution and Ordinance of 2022

A quorum of the Chatham Town Council adopted the first Resolution and Ordinance of 2022 at the regularly scheduled monthly meeting held at the Chatham Town Hall on February 8th. After the January meeting minutes and payment of monthly bills were approved the panel of Toni Malone, Laverne Mixon and Sue Proffer introduced Ordinance 2022-01 which allows for the 2021-22 budget to be amended. Marvin Davis and Mike Wilson were absent.  In an immediate, following action the panel set the date of March 8th, 2022 for a public hearing on this topic to be held at 5:30pm at the Chatham Town Hall. 

Visitors John Mize and Sue Henderson along with Chatham Mayor Gregory Harris then witnessed the panel adopt Resolution 2022-01 which states the Town of Chatham agrees to maintain permit requirements set forth by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System to prevent wastewater permit violations. 

After financial statements were accepted as presented the meeting was then adjourned.
