Courtyard beautification and 4H projects ongoing at J-H Elementary School

There is an old saying that receiving an education is much more than just learning from books. Thanks to the effort of the faculty and staff at the Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School their students are getting practical experience in that theory,

Recently work began on a pair of projects where the students actively participated. One is the beautification of the courtyard of the school in preparation of spring with the other being a 4H project where potatoes were planted in galvanized beds.

“We could not have started this process without the hard work of Mrs. Cathy Judd, Mr. Donnie Moon, Mr. Kernell Brown, Mr. Ivan Dalgaard, and Mr. Carlos Hicks,” said JHES Principal, Rhonda Lee. “Also we would like to give a special great big thank you to Jonesboro State Bank for the Pledge 10 Grant at the end of last year!”
