Saline Softball celebrates Senior Night

Saline High School paid homage to two seniors this past Thursday evening with an annual Senior Night celebration. The event was made special by the inclusion of the local kids from the Autism Spectrum program that was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Lady Bobcats then proceeded to honor Terrilynn Cloud and Valeria Rodriguez in style by closing the home portion of their 2022 regular season schedule with a 15-0 victory over Jonesboro-Hodge, who was rendered hitless in the contest. The “ten run rule” victory improved the Lady Bobcats overall record to 10-14 on the year.
Jayden Williams got all nine JHHS batters out over the three innings to earn the victory while Kassie Hood, Jordan Williams and Alaya Gray scored three runs each to lead the offense. Ava Toms and Rodriguez scored twice with Cloud, Sydney Thomas and Alazja Amos also tallying in the total team effort.
