An amazing day of revelry and fun filled competition was had at the Spring Festival and Gumbo Cook-Off held at Hook’s Marina on Caney Lake on May 1st. Sponsored by the Caney Lake Community Foundation, guests enjoyed beignets, baked apples, apple dumplings, s’mores cake, Dutch apple, fig & cranberry crumb, peach cobbler crumble as well as getting to sample the gumbo.
