Local prep girls basketball players getting good experience with summer play

There is simply no better way for a basketball player to improve their skills or a team to develop cohesiveness than to spend as much time as possible on the court. The girls teams from the three Jackson Parish High Schools are doing just that through the summer league games being played at Castor High School, but the Quitman High girls team is taking it one step further.

The Lady Wolverines are attending the Team Camp at Northwestern State University (NSU) and Bethany Leach, Brayli Stewart, Taylor Harvey and Jaleigh Burns (shown above in banner with OBU basketball team) qttended a skills camp at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR.

Summer League play continues each Tuesday and Thursday in Castor throughout the month of June.
