Incentive Pay to be discussed by Jonesboro Board of Aldermen at Tuesday meeting

Show me the money! That is what employees of the Town of Jonesboro hopes happens at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Aldermen that will be held at 6:00pm this Tuesday at the Charles H. Garrett Community Center, located at 182 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro.

Actually, the wish is for council members Robbie Siadek, Pete Stringer, Devin Flowers, James Ginn and Nia Evans-Johnson to show them some additional money in incentive pay. The discussion and possible action will take place after an application for Jonesboro to establish a Cultural District is brought forth, a fuel bid and appointment of an official journal is ratified and a resolution to establish the tax millage for fiscal year 2022-23 is approved.

The meeting will open with the handling of monthly business considerations such as approval of last month’s agenda, minutes, payment of bills and financial statement as well as department head reports and close with comments by the council and Mayor Leslie Thompson.
