“Super Six” shoots ten under to win Tuesday Scramble

The temperature was high but the scores were low at the Jackson Parish Golf Course on July 12th where the weekly Tuesday Scramble was played. A large throng of golfers braved the soaring temperatures resulting in some teams having as many as six players. One of those comprising of Leigh Cathey, Michael Simonelli, John Gallien, Jeff Conville, Chris and Garrin Knighton shot a round of 10-uner par, 26 over the nine-hole layout to emerge as winners.

Every Tuesday the Jackson Parish Golf Course holds a scramble format tournament where teams are selected randomly based on a player’s handicap or average score. Each team is made up from designated groups of A players (those with the lowest handicaps or average scores) , B players, C players and so on so it is a perfect setting for golfers of all skills to participate.

To register simply call the Golf Course ahead of time at 318-259-7247 or sign up any time up to within 30 minutes of tee time on Tuesday.
