In the presences of Mayor Gregory Harris, Town of Chatham Councilmembers Marvin Davis, Toni Malone, Sue Proffer, and Mike Wilson adopted Resolution 2022-11 authorizing the 2022 property tax millage to be set at 7.41 mills. Councilmember Laverne Mixon was absent.
The action took place during the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Town Council that was held on July 12th at Chatham City Hall. Additional action taken was the selection of the Ruston Daily Leader as the Official Journal for the town for the period of July 12, 2022 – June 30, 2023.
The planned discussion of raises for the Mayor and Councilmembers was tabled until the next regular meeting that is to be held on August 9,2022, at 6:00 pm.
