Candidate list for November election finalized

The list of those who will compete for various offices locally and across the state and those who will have no opposition has been finalized, as the dates for qualifying for the November 8 election drew to a close this past Friday. 

In regard to statewide or multi parish offices the race for US Senator drew the largest number of candidates with incumbent John Kenndey being among the thirteen who registered for the office. The race for 5th Congressional District drew five candidates, including incumbent Julia Letlow. For a comple list of candidates for either office go online to GeauxVote.com
