For the fifth consecutive year, Edwin Brown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4317, Jonesboro was selected an All-American Post at the VFW National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri on July 18, 2022.
All-American means that a post is one of the top fifty posts in the United States based on such criteria as membership increase, assistance to veterans, community service, holding of patriotic events, fundraising, and excellence in competitions (Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen and Americanism).
“Each year the requirements for All-American increase and for each of the past five years our dedicated post and auxiliary members have persevered to meet these requirements,” commented Philip Lawrence.
VFW Post 4317 was also selected an All-State Post for the sixth consecutive year at the Louisiana VFW State Convention on June 18, 2022.
