The 2nd annual Caney Lake Chili Cook-Off and Fall Festival will be held at Hooks Marina, located at 400 Spillway Road, this Saturday. Festivities will begin with vendors selling items at 9:00am and chili sales beginning at noon. Cost for sample cups is $1.00 and bowls will go for $5.00 each. First thru third place and Peoples Choice prizes will be awarded.

Volunteers needed! If you have the chance, a few volunteers would be very helpful to help vendor / cook setup and parking and with the chili sales. If available please arrive by 7:00am to help with getting things going and at 11:00am to help with sales.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
As part of the festivities a pumpkin decorating contest will be held. There is no fee to enter and prizes will be awarded. To enter bring your decorated or carved pumpkin to Hook’s Marina by 11:00am on Saturday. Entries will be on display from 11:00am – 2:00pm. The winner will be announced at 2:00pm.
Rules for Contest:
- Must be a real pumpkin
- Decorate pumpkin with art supplies or carve the pumpkin.
- Do not write name of entry on pumpkin as all entries will be assigned a number
