Police Jury eyes purchase of new equipment for Solid Waste Department

A new excavator, compactor truck and 16 new bins may be in the future plans for the Jackson Parish Solide Waste Department. The purchase of all of these will be topics of discussion by Chairman Lynn Treadway, Amy Magee and John McCarty when the Jackson Parish Police Jury Solid Waste Committee meets on Wednesday, October 19th. The session will take place at 12:00 PM in the Nathanial Zeno, Jr. Meeting Room of the Jackson Parish Administrative Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro.

While it is possible that a quorum of the Police Jury may be in attendance at the meeting, no action of the Police Jury as a whole will be taken. Any action approved by the Committee will be put on the agenda of the next regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Jackson Parish Police Jury for ratification.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance, please contact Emmett Gibbs, Secretary/Treasurer at (318)259-2361 Ext. 3 describing the assistance that is necessary.
