The Jackson Parish Police Jury agreed to advertise for bids for 2023 materials at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting held on Tuesday, October 18th at the Charles H Garrett Community Center in Jonesboro. The official notice is posted in the Classifieds section of the Jackson Parish Journal.

While Lewis Chatham was absent, Jurors Todd Culpepper, Amy Magee, John McCarty, Tarneshala Cowens, Regina Rowe and President Lynn Treadway also approved the following:

1. Adopt the minutes of the September 20, 2022, Jury Meeting, monthly purchase orders, and
the payment of all bills.
2. Adopt the minutes of the October 5, 2022, Road Committee meeting
3. Approve the Addition of $70,000 to the 2023 LCDBG Program Budget.
4. Adopt the minutes of the September 29, 2022, Policy & Personnel Committee meeting
5. Approve the Update of the Organizational Chart. Culpepper voted against this.
6. Adopt the minutes of the September 29, 2022, Projects Committee meeting
7. Approve the Jonesboro Fire Department. to burn the house at 402 8th Street. 
8. Adopt the minutes of the October 5, 2022, Veterans Committee meeting
9. Accept a quote from Sista’s Catering.
10. Accept reports from Operations, Road, Solid Waste Departments
11. Accept Engineering Report  from Mr. Paul Riley, The Riley Co. of Louisiana
12. Approve Change Order No. 2 for the 2022 Road Program.
13. Approve the substantial completion of the 2022 Road Project.
14. Approve Annual Parish Transportation Fund Certification.
15. Approve the Annual Bridge Certification and authorize the President to sign the “Official Listing of Off-System Bridges” report for 2022 (roll call vote)
16. Approve the Permanent Employment of Chad Bates as Mechanic 1.
17. Approve the Use of the Community Center by Clerk of Court on November 14, 2022.
