
A special session of the Jackson Parish Police Jury (JPPJ) will take place at 12:15 pm on Monday in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr. Meeting Room at the Jackson Parish Administrative Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro. Immediately following the JPPJ Personnel Committee will hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
The special session has been called to discuss and possibly act on the Road Superintendent package and roofing quotes on the 326 Eighth Street building. Also, to be considered is providing storage for the Tourism Board at the Fain Building and authorizing Secretary-Treasurer, Emmett Gibbs to complete and submit the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire for the 2022 audit.
The Personnel Committee of Chairman John McCarty, Lewis Chatham, and Lynn Treadway will consider announcing a vacancy of the Maintenance Supervisor position and adopting the updated associate job description. Adding a full-time receptionist position to the Administrative Department will also be discussed.
It is possible that a quorum of the Police Jury may attend the Committee meeting, but no action of the Police Jury as a whole will be taken.
