
Local 4-H participant Easton Hall and Team Louisiana finished in 4th place out in team Compound Archery competition at the National Shooting Sports Championships held July 25-30 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
By virtue of their fine showing combined with total points earned in seven additional competitions, Team LA was presented with the Tom Davison Sweepstakes Award which acknowledged them as overall national champion.
In competition with teams from 42 states across the nation over the five day event, Team LA won 1st place in Air Rifle, Hunting, Smallbore Pistol and Smallbore Rifle, 3rd in Shotgun, 4th in Compound Archery, 7th in Muzzle Loading and 9th in Air Pistol.
Hall’s, who was the youngest member of the four man squad, was integral in his team’s top five finish as his first day score of 658 was tied for the highest among LA Team members.
