Phase One of the public fishing pier project at Ebenezer Park on Caney Lake is complete. Phase Two of the project which is the pouring of the sidewalk, add lighting to the pier and the pavilion, and having handicap parking signs installed is slated to begin soon.
Upon completion and passing inspection by the LA State Fire Marshall, the pier will be open to the public. The Jackson Parish Watershed Commission requests that no one attempt to access the pier until everything is complete and expresses thanks for the patience exhibited during the process.
