
The 40th annual Saline Watermelon Festival climaxes a week long schedule of activities with Beauty Pageants on Thursday and Friday and a plethora of events on Saturday.
Earlier this week a week long scavenger hunt began and a kick-off dance was held on Monday night. Kids night out followed on Tuesday. On Wednesday, a mandatory meeting for pageant participants will be held along with an area wide prayer meeting from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
Saline Watermelon Festival Schedule of Events
Wednesday, July 5th
9:30 – 11:00am: Mandatory meeting for pageant participants in the following divisions: Infant Miss age division (0-11 months), Baby Miss (12-23 months), Teeny Miss (2 years),Toddler Miss (3 years), Tiny Miss (4-5 years)
1:00 – 3:00 pm: Mandatory meeting for pageant participants in the following divisions: Little Miss (6-7 years), Petite Miss (8-10 years), Junior Miss (11-13 years), Teen Miss (14-16 years) and Miss Watermelon (17-19 years)
6:30 – 8:30 pm: Area wide prayer meeting at Saline High School Gymnasium
Thursday, July 6th
6:00 pm: Little Miss Beauty Pageant at Saline High School Gymnasium. Admission is $5.00 per person
Friday, July 7th
6:00 pm: Watermelon Festival Beauty Pageant and Woman-Less Pageant at Saline High School Gymnasium. Admission is $5.00 per person
Saturday, July 8th
6:30 am: Dam Melon 5K Run – Registration at Magnolia Baptist Church
8:00 am: Booths Open
9:30 am: Parade line up at Saline High School
10:00 am: Parade
11:00 am: Crop Judging at Downtown Band Stand
11:00 am: Watermelon Games at Downtown Band Stand
3:00 pm: Bass Tournament Weigh-In at Downtown Band Stand
6:00 – 10:00 pm: Street Dance at Downtown Band Stand
