Eighteen new members of the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office followed those instructions on this past week as they took their Oath of Office that was administered by Chief Deputy Clerk Tanya Norred.
Bringing the total number of employees at the JPSO to 116, each of the new hires were assigned to the new Jackson Parish Jail that held grand opening ceremonies this past Friday.
Before taking their oath, Sheriff Andy Brown addressed the new hires, welcoming each and wishing them a successful career.
“I am excited for each of these new additions to our team as this is a start to a rewarding career,” said Brown. “As your Sheriff, it is my goal to continue creating job opportunities for the people of Jackson Parish.”
