The Jackson Parish Ambulance Service Training Center has recently  been accepted as a Louisiana Fire and Emergency Training Academy – Written Certification Exam Site.
This new certification of the Training Center offers Jackson Parish and surrounding areas a location to locally complete written exams on Fire Fighting Skills and Hazardous Materials Response.

EMT Training Classes begin August 7th

Emergency Medical Technician training classes begin on Monday, August 7th at the JPASD training center located at 115 Watts Street in Jonesboro. Classes will meet each Monday and Thursday through the first week of December. Lead instructors will be James Horn and Jeff Carpenter.

JPASD gives Gracepoint Academy emergency training

The administration and staff of Gracepoint Academy in Jonesboro will be providing an education for students in a few short weeks. This past week the teachers became the students as they came to the JPASD training center to learn CPR, AED and First Aid. Under the direction of instructor Jolynn Smith, each of the attendees got classroom instruction and was able to participate in hands on technique demonstration.
