
The Jackson Parish Police Jury will hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 15th. The session will take place at 5:30pm at the Dr. Charles H. Garrett Community Center, located at 182 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro.
President Todd Culpepper and Jurors Lewis Chatham, Amy Magee, John McCarty, Tarneshala “Niki” Cowans, Regina Rowe and Keith Burris will open the meeting by entering into Executive Session where they will finalize discussion on the hiring of an Accounts Payable Clerk. Upon returning to the open forum an announcement on who has been selected is expected.
After adopting the minutes of the July 18th, July 27th, and August 8th Jury Meetings, monthly purchase orders, and the payment of all bills jurors will consider approve posting for the vacant position of General Laborer – Grounds Keeper in the Maintenance Department.
Department managers will then give their monthly reports leading to the possible action of a Resolution to adopt the 2023 millage rates and appointments to various parish boards taking place.
