Special Called Board Meeting Minutes 

September 14, 2023

The Jackson Parish Library Board of Control met on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. at the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library for a special called board meeting. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Massey, Board President. Members present: Mrs. Essmeier, Mrs. Nunn, Ms. Jenkins, Mrs. Tew, Mrs. Massey, and Mrs. Magee. Also present was Floyd Knox, Judy Robertson, and Phyllis Moore. Members absent: Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Standley
Mrs. Magee led the invocation.
There being no public comments, the Board proceeded with the proposed agenda.
Mrs. Nunn made the motion to leave the book Families, Families, Families at its current location on the shelf. Mrs. Essmeier seconded. All yes. Motion carried.
Mrs. Magee made the motion to leave the book London Séance Society at its current location on the shelf. Mrs. Nunn seconded. All yes. Motion carried.
Mrs. Massey made the motion to accept the high bid of $18,100 for the 2005 bookmobile. Mrs. Essmeier seconded. All yes. Motion carried.
Mrs. Essmeier made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Mrs. Tew seconded. All yes. Motion carried.
