
Mark your calendars for November 16th. That is the date that has been set for the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony marking the official Grand Opening of the Jackson Parish Library Park.
Adding to the festivities that will begin at 10:00 am at the Jonesboro Branch, located at 614 South Polk Avenue, will be the unveiling of the newest Storywalk and a concert by Johnette Downing.
The interactive park, which is already open, is available to be enjoyed by the public at no charge seven days a week from daylight to dark.

Bookworm Storytime to take place on Wednesday
Each Wednesday at 10:30 am the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library presents Bookworm Storytime for kids up to five years old. Come and enjoy the always entertaining story, song and a snack. No registration is required.

Chatham Branch presents Movie Mania on Wednesday
Not doing anything Wednesday afternoon? Then come and watch a good movie and enjoy popcorn at the Chatham Branch of the Jackson Parish Library, located at 1500 Pine Street when the movie 5000 Blankets will be premiered beginning at 2:00 pm. Best of all it is free!
