Saline sets modern day record, area preps nearly perfect on Monday and Tuesday

Saline High School set a modern day school record and area prep girls and boys entered into the Christmas break full of momentum after collectively recording nine wins against only two losses in games played Monday and Tuesday.

It was a rare achievement indeed orchestrated by the girls and boys of Saline as both squads held their opponent scoreless in the first quarter, a feat that is believed to have never been done before on the same night in modern day times.

In composite action, area girls compiled a perfect 6-0 record paced by a pair of wins by Quitman and Saline and single victories by Jonesboro-Hodge and Weston. The boys also had a successful two days, going  4-2 overall with the Saline boys winning both of their games against schools from a higher classification while Weston and Quitman also took victories.
